Answers
What is the Deposition Analyzer?

It's a tool to help you easily create deposition summaries as you review a transcript. It includes an AI-based feature that can automatically find important aspects of the testimony.

Is the Deposition Analyzer secure?

Your data is encrypted using enterprise best practices for data at rest and in transit. Documents are not available except to the authenticated account user. The only data logged by ClaimEdge is user ID, login time, keywords used, and name of the file. ClaimEdge does not access deposition text or user notes. See Terms and Conditions for details. Information Security Policy available on request.

How does it work?

Simply choose a deposition transcript you need to summarize. When you upload it, you can tell it to look for multiple search terms, even phrases. Then click "Submit." The Analyzer will read the transcript, and display the full text with the search terms highlighted in an easy-to-follow format for your review. Using the AI-based feature will allow you to focus on important parts of the testimony before you even read it.

Can I annotate the transcript on my screen?

Yes. There is a notes section next to the transcript to type in as you read along, all in one screen.

Does it work with MS Word?

Yes, the Analyzer automatically creates a Word (.docx) file that you can save to your computer.

How does the AI (artificial intelligence) work?

There is an optional search function for personal injury cases that will also highlight key aspects of the witness testimony, including accident details, medical information, etc. For a complete list of trained aspects, click here.

How long does it take to process a deposition?

It usually takes less than a minute to process when doing a keyword-only search, depending on transcript length and how many others are using it. If you choose the AI search option for injury cases, it can take several minutes. A 400-page deposition takes as many as 25 minutes to process with AI; most depositions will take considerably less time.

Do you store my depositions or other information?

We store the deposition transcript, notes, and excerpts you enter for the purpose of allowing you to save your work and come back to it later. Depositions are saved when you first analyze them and when you click "save" or "download."

We give you control over the storage of your depositions. You can delete them at any time from your list of documents. Once you delete a deposition, it is permanently removed from our servers and can't be recovered.

We store identifying information about you when you register as a user for authentication. We also log each user, the file name of the document processed, keywords, and date/time to help with continued development and bug fixes. You can check out what we store about you in our Terms and Conditions.

What type of deposition file formats are supported?

The Analyzer can only be used to process .txt files (like Wordpad). It will not work with condensed or mini-script transcripts, pdf files, or e-Legal(TM) formats.

Is the Deposition Analyzer commercially available?

The Analyzer is currently available as a free trial for registered users.

How do I get trial access?

Please request access by clicking here and filling out the form. You will be notified if you are approved, usually the same day.
